Nice traditional building with high standard of decor inside; contemporary, comfortable and spotless. Hosts very friendly, especially important for a lone traveller. Warkworth a beautiful location.

As above. Lovely, tasteful rooms. Lots of little extras - book swap bookcase, local information library, lovely biscuits/tea and coffee in room, fantastic showers, perfect breakfast etc.

Our hosts were wonderfully welcoming & friendly. The breakfast was first class and with a good variety of menu choices. And the bed was perfect, very comfortable and not a bit saggy - a great rarity!
Dislikes:
I feel a little mean saying so but the location meant the room (overlooking the street) was a bit noisier than we'd have liked but then we do always like to have a window open!

John greeted us on arrival and we were made to feel very welcome.
Our room, although not big, was nicely furnished and decorated and had a lovely view over the garden. The bed was very comfy and provided a good nights sleep.
The cooked breakfast was very tasty. There was a good selection available and this was made the day before and served at your preferred time. Read less
